TGIF and an event
Firstly, on Friday, came home from work and went out with Lionel. Had TGI Fridays for dinner and the treat was on moi since I promised him a meal when he gets back. Then we just hung around Pyramid and walk around randomly.
On Saturday, got up super late. Lazing on my bed so much.
It was the day my church had our Youth Christmas Event. Quite a lot of young people attended the event. The youths' preparations for the past two months stumbled upon the problem concerning the weather. It rained, though for just a while. But it did put a slight damper into the coordinators' plans and they had to switch some placements around.
Now, I wouldn't say the event was a 100% successful. But given the circumstances, it went quite well and everyone still had fun. Thank God for that. Hopefully we did plant some new seeds regarding the true meaning of Christmas.
It's not just a time for gifts (although that just makes it more fun). It's not about money. It's not about the mistletoe. And it's definitely NOT about Santa.
It's a time of rejoicing. Of being with loved ones. And of sharing and giving.
It's a time to remember Christ and the purpose He is born to this world.
Anyway, there was one thing that disappointed me AFTER the event. A certain someone was so quick to jump up to take center stage when they were calling for a photoshoot of those who DID participate fully in the setting up of the event. Yes, there may be those who're just in the photo as guests, but that's not the point I'm pointing out.
For me, since I didn't really help out much for this event, don't even want to be in the photo and would rather volunteer to handle the camera. I find it shameful to accept a general gratitude when, deep inside, I know I didn't do much. I certainly wouldn't be the first to jump on stage to take any credit.
Screw the point of coming out with a design. Anyone else could've done it, what more when it's just a 2D drawing. It's those who spent nights after nights and days getting the event set up who deserved the full credit.
Therefore, I send my highest credits and recognition to Kevin Chan, Rueben Looi, Jessie Looi, Reuben Pak aka Pope Jackie Pak, Sarah Wong, my sis, Johnston "Tonton" Wang, Jonathan, Xin Wei, Qi Ren and Samantha Wang for a job well done.
Did get to fellowship a lot with some of the young people who attended.
Okay, now better get back to work before the boss gets back. Buh bai.

I hate the morning jam.
Especially those people who clog up (they are rubbish!) the lane leading to the Subang Airport road.
It gets so irritating for people who're rushing to work. And they just delay my journey for a further 10-20 minutes banggang stupid idiots sampahmasyarakat jahanam dumbo.
The jam scene within Subang Jaya is bad enough. So I expect at least the sole lane heading to my workplace to be smooth flowing since not everyone on the road is using that road.
But noooo........people just HAD to use that road to cut queue and the worse are the buses.
Oh, and might I add that I hate people who DELIBERATELY jump queue. It's uncivilized. This whole Malaysian mindset that people can't wait in line. Everyone's been lining up in the right lane for a long while and there goes one idiot after one idiot who keeps thinking he SHOULD go ahead in line.
BLOODY.SCREW.YOU.
I will NOT be considerate and let people jump queue in front of me. Unless you can tell me you're going to die soon if you don't reach a hospital a.s.a.p. or that your car will explode if you don't reach your Point B in time. And you have to show me that bomb.
Or else, GET IN LINE!!!
Edeote.

Black beauties
I miss sleeping late and sleeping in.
Also in the weekend: a trip down to good ol' crowded-like-hell PC Fair. I sort of have a love hate relationship for this fair.
It takes place in KL CC (note that it's not connected cuz it's "Convention Center" and not "City Center") and tens of thousands of people flock there to get their digital and computing needs. Also present are hundreds of dealers from Low Yat, opening stores and making a market of the scene. Only idiots crowd themselves there to get their computing stuffs and try bargaining for prices to get good deals.
Unfortunately, I'm one of those idiots.
The other thing that attracted people (mostly guys) are the hot female promoters there. One of them even had a ton of guys crowding to get a photograph of her.
But hey, I don't go down there to get things like laptops or desktops because, those products are a waste of time because there won't be much price reduction for those items. Dealers mainly bring their old stocks in order to clear them off their racks. Only rare booths such as Sony, Toshiba and other good brands would bring their new products to market them to the public. It's more of a one time, 3-day push of sales.Twice a year.
Well, the only reason I went there is to get some computing accessories. And the only reason I don't get it from the shops on normal days are because, I hate walking past their shops and salesmen going "Yesh canIhelpyousir?" I find it very irritating. Leave me alone and let me browse for what I want. If I found something that hits my fancy, THEN I will ask for assistance. Don't pester me. I will most likely walk off than to even stop to look for anything.
Anyway, I was there for a reason. Just a few items on my list.
Firstly, I got myself a new 320GB WD My Passport external hard drive.
I must say it looks super sexy and small. It cost me RM265 and it came with a nice padded glove to keep it in.
Next, I bought a Logitech Pro Internet Black keyboard. It actually came with a Logitech mouse but I gave it to my dad. The set cost RM49 only and I'm gonna use it for gaming.
Yea, I know. Should've bought a gaming keyboard. But you know how much those cost, you bloody idiotic gaming hardware fanatics?
Last on my list was a mouse. Not just any mouse, it's a gaming mouse. And not just any gaming mouse. It's a Razer. Specifically named Razer Krait. This baby is super sensitive and beautiful and it ONLY cost me RM99.
All in all, spent RM400plus on computing accessories. But hey, at least they're more worth it than people who go there to buy thumb drives.
Oh wait, I bought those too.
And I just realised that everything I bought are in black. Damn they rawk.
Can't wait for the holidays to start next week.
I'm soooo bloody broke. Dammit.

About cars, cars and more cars.
Saturday
Helped my family in painting the hall and that took the whole day. Got pissed at my sis and dad during dinner that, when I got home, I immediately took my car keys and drove off.
Sunday
Church as usual. Then, went over to Tim's house to help with the Christmas deco project. Dinner came much later at around 10pm in Asia Cafe and Uncle Alvin treated us.
Monday
T'was a public holiday. And I made plans. Most of the church members set off for their youth camp, which I was supposed to go but *ahem* did not get leave off from work. Instead, accompanied Ityra to Midvalley to watch Twilight...AGAIN. As much as I said it sucked the first time, the second time was a little better now that I had already expected the plot.
And mind most of you, I'm looking at this movie at a very plot-driven view. I don't care what is written in the novel and how much girls swoon to this movie. But if the play doesn't come out right and isn't cheesy on screen, then it still gets my approval. Movies such as A Walk To Remember or Pride & Prejudice is very much taken from romance novels but it didn't bombed on screen and it made a lot....and I repeat, in a different way, A LOT of people tear at the romantic experience.
And I'm not the only person who thinks Twilight didn't come out nice on screen. A newspaper reviewer gave the same thought. (Hint: do check out the reviewer's name. lol)
Maybe a lot of girls can let their romantic dreams run free in their imagination when they read. But I don't really see that dreamy fantasy showing on screen apart from finding a "hot" guy to play the character. And that's all that clouds the female viewers from watching the actual plot. And it's more of a neutral judgement seeing that I've not read the novel and am watching the movie. The plot should make me imagine almost as clear as how it appeared in the novel...not the other way around.
Had Sushi Zanmai...AGAIN. For the third time in 2 weeks.
Then, went for our second movie...Transporter 3 (it's Transporter, Ityra. Not Terminator)
Now this is what I'm waiting for. Some nice adrenaline-rushed movie. This movie is a wall to wall action movie. What made me like this movie so much especially was the minimal romance scenes between the hero and the "maiden in distress". This movie is more relatable than, say, Twilight.
Guy given project to transport girl, guy defends girl with his superb fighting ability and hot body, girl swoons over him and makes him strip his shirt and kiss her in order to get his car keys back.
Nothing hard to relate. But at least he did something to earn that attention rather than just pure looks/pale face/red lips/cold skin/funny hairstyle.
The cinematic action of the car chase is always the main point in all Transporter series. The things that he could do with the car (and the bicycle, in one scene) seems so impossible, but not unrealistic. It is a car we're talking about. Not high-flying vampires (okay, now I'm just taking hits at laiyee).
But seriously, this movie is recommended for all action-movie enthusiasts. The martial arts choreographer, Cory Yuen (hey, same surname) did a fantastic job in choreographing the fight sequences in a way that it looks possible for someone to look the part and not bullshit about having learnt kungfu or something.
At the end of the day, sent Ityra back to Cheras. On my way home, some asshole in a Fortuner almost ran me into traffic when he came flying into the highway and me on the first lane (unbelievable? believe it). So, after the toll, I took it to block his way on the fast lane time and time again just to frustrate him a little. But after a while, my 1.3 couldn't frustrate his 2.5 enough. But, hey, at least I tried.
If you're in a bloody rush to meet your maker, drive properly and let people know you're in a rush and to give way PROPERLY. Not zoom in and out of traffic and rush right up to people and to intimidate them to give way on the first move.
As most of you know, I like to drive fast as well...even at times when I'm not in a rush. I don't like dilly-dallying on the road because it's a waste of precious time. But when I speed, I do it with consideration. I will only speed when I'm on the last lane (which is the fast lane for those of you non drivers) and I will flash for people to give way if they're going slowly on that lane. That is the main purpose of having a FAST LANE. If after a few attempts and the driver still doesn't move aside on an open road, then I MAY just use provocation to get their attention that they're blocking the lane. If I'm not in a rush, I still won't mind slowing down a bit. But if I'm in a rush, BLOODY GET OUT OF MY WAY.
Time is money. And every second lost, we can never get back.

Idunnowhattitletoputoverherehelpdieswtf
So, let me bore you with more of my day to day life.
Well, for the past 4 days, I've attended an AutoCAD (Auto Computer-Aided Design, for you noobs out there) training course all the way in Jalan Semarak. Bear in mind that that place is all the way near KLCC and I'm staying in Subang Jaya. Therefore, I have to endure almost an hours journey to and fro everyday. And that means I have to wake up at 6am every morning and leave my house before 7am to reach there in time.
The training facility and instructor was okay. But the food around that area sucks. The canteen food is just a single row of Malay-cooked meat and vege which dunno looks like what and they have noodles which did not fill me enough to get past an hour. So, the second day, I brought a subway there for lunch but that wasn't sufficient. The third day, I drove further out to have lunch at a mamak shop. So cham okay that area got no chinese food to eat. I was spared for the last day as I was only there for half a day.
During the training, some of the participants are really not concentrating in class and they simply just forget all that was taught on a daily basis. Teach this thing one day and the next day, cam asking me "how did you do this already ahh??". Wtf wei. The training costs RM900, at least learn to remember la.
Along the way for 4 days, I witnessed 6 accidents, 3 roadblocks, 1 accident casualty and the Agong. Yes, you read right. No other rolls royce has gold emblems as number plates and is surrounded by 3 police bikes and 2 police proton perdana.
Today, finally back at the office and I couldn't sit down peacefully at my desk for 10 minutes without being called for meeting and to liaise with my technical designer for a drawing. And when that was done, straight out to Glenmarie to meet a customer regarding new product and designs.
But overall, I'm sort of happy to be back in the office. I missed chicken rice and my colleagues when I was away for ONLY 4 days.
Oh well, back to writing my report. Kthxbai.
