5....days.......

Highlights of the 5 glorious days of holiday.

WEDNESDAY
First day of Hari Raya holidays spent going out with SY for shopping, movies, etc. Feels just like any other weekends. Watched the movie Pathology which was Pathetic. Sure I love the gross parts but it's just another movie with all sorts of wild sex and killing wth. Practically pointless. And it's not even done in much details plus all the cuts made by our super conventional, close-minded and old-fashioned board of censors made the movie even worse. Not recommended to watch, even for medical students. Don't waste your time.

THURSDAY
Practically almost the same with Wednesday except for the movie part. Spent most of the night back at my house rather than at malls. Watched movie on my laptop instead.

FRIDAY
Went out for chicken rice and then went back to my place with SY. Spent most of the day there and only went out in the evening. Followed her for a little shopping again and then we watched Eagle Eye in Pyramid. The movie was cool. Wayyyy much better than Pathetic-ology. Wouldn't want to spoil the show for those who have not watched it. Go check it out. It's really good. Highly recommended. Now it makes me wonder if OUR government can spy on us through our mobile phones or internet connection.
Fat chance.

SATURDAY

Was considered quite a big day today. Whole family went over to Cheras to a studio to get my graduation photos taken. Had one taken of just myself and a big one with my family. But I feel the rates were, honestly, like shit. The package given wasn't much but the price was a bomb. Shit, lady, I ain't asking you to use a gold photo paper to wash my photos and include a titanium frame for it. Why the hell is it so freaking expensive?

If it wasn't for the fact that they supply the robes and coloured 'hoodie' for The One, I would've gladly gone to another photo studio.

Gone to One Utama with SY to walk around and have dinner.

SUNDAY

Finally, the day The One students have been waiting for to put on our best shirts, blazers, pants and dress, and the day our parents have been waiting to finally stop funding our art equipments and tuition fees - our convocation. The Grand Ballroom in Sheraton Subang looks quite good. After collecting our robes and mortarboards, everyone started having their pictures taken with friends and family.

Started joking around with Phoebe and Suraya while we were lining up to go into the ballroom. All the while walking up the stage to receive my scroll, the only thing that crossed everyone's mind is not to trip on the stairs and fall. What a scene that would be. Congrats to Chrystal 'Kissital' Giam Yee Feng for making it into TOA's Dean's List of Honours. You really were great. So great that some of the tutors in the Graphic Design Department made her a banner which reads "Ur the GODDEST of Ad!" Such an honour.

During the group photo session (which is in front of everyone in the ballroom wth), we had a shot which we could gladly fling our mortarboards up. Such a fun moment.

Food that night didn't really suck but it was quite inadequate. Plus, we get awkward trying not to show our ugly side while eating in front of someone else's parents whom we don't know. Should've thought of arranging the seatings. James' band played some rock music while we were dining. One song called for all the graduates to go up in front of the stage. Stage-shy Batch 58 didn't go up. The ones that did go up were all Batch 55 people. Was really great. We all went up the stage and rocked together with the band. We made another history by being the first batch to rock the ballroom during a formal graduation dinner (the other history was made when we decided to do some creative works instead of just showing our portfolios during our Graduation Exhibition).

After dinner, we proceeded with more photography sessions and then supper over at Old Town Kopitiam in Sunway. We had our usual Shidio gathering, filled with laughter and joy. Were supposed to go Coco Banana but we changed our minds because most of us were craving for food rather than drinks. And some still have to work on today (sigh). After supper, sent JT and Shawn back to Sheraton where some of the Shidios will be spending the night (I would too if I didn't have to work today). That was the end of a fun day to mark a joyful ceremony.

Pictures from the convocation will uploaded later but most of them will go into my Facebook profile. Have to get it from various amount of people (SY, James, Eve, Ken, May, TOA, etc)
