History

Recently,I've just purchased CivCity Rome and was quite addicted to it.Finished off half of the the game in 3 days.

I like these type of games which links back to the Roman or Greek history - their way of life, their ARMY,economics and etc..

I've always been excited about these people because of their superiority in the early science, math, politics and warfare in comparison to our dull history in school about how we suck up to the colonials to try to gain independence without war.

Well, the Romans and Greeks didn't need to gain independence. They controlled it.For all the Greeks power, the Romans still proved superior by conquering their neighbours.Everything we learn now-maths and science, letters and numbers-we get from these people. Not some guy named Parameswara we had to learn so much of in Form1.

Sure he's the founder of Melaka, but who the hell gives a damn??We should be learning from the superiors rather than the idiot who ran away from his own land.

Anyway,back to our topic..

Rome..

Known for it's army.Imagine.These people had formations, perfected the catapult way before US was even a founded and know how to make steam spas. They could provide piped water and structure magnificent architectures when most of the world still lived in jungles and down by the river.

Back to their armies.

They were almost no different from Malaysia in size. Also started from a peninsula and relied on their science and military to conquer. In fact,if we add East Malaysia,we have a bigger country than the current Italy peninsula. We just suck in superiority.

What caused Rome to shrink was the falling apart within their own country and not conquerors.

So,does anyone want to know the amount of soldiers or legionaries within Rome's walls.Only Rome and not their conquered lands.

Well,since you're here,stay for a minute.

Here's the equation..

80 soldiers/legionaries = 1 Century
59 Centuries = 1 Legion
Each Century has 1 Centurion = 59 Centurions in 1 Legion

There are 30 Legions in Rome itself ->

Therefore,Rome itself has a total of 143370 soldiers.

Can you imagine if they all had guns and planned to conquer Malaysia??

OMG
